Bradford Networks, the best choice to enable secure network access for corporate issued and personal mobile devices, announced that it has been named a finalist in the 2012 SC Magazine Awards. Selected by SC Magazine’s esteemed reader base, Bradford’s Network Sentry was named a top product in the Best Network Access Control (NAC) Reader’s Trust Award category. As the Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) movement accelerates, Network Sentry was recognized for its ability to provide enterprise IT administrators with greater visibility and control over any and all mobile devices on the network, and its unique ability to differentiate between corporate and personal assets and provision network access accordingly.
This year, the SC Magazine Awards introduced the Best NAC product category to its list of prominent industry awards for the first time, recognizing that the consumerization of IT has emerged as a serious enterprise security threat. Network Sentry was selected as a finalist from among hundreds of entries.
“We have worked hard to ensure we are the top NAC solution in the market for addressing BYOD issues, and we couldn’t be happier that SC Magazine readers have recognized our value,” said Frank Andrus, CTO of Bradford Networks.
SC Magazine distinguishes the achievements of the security professionals in the trenches, the innovations happening in the vendor and service provider communities and the passionate work of government, commercial and nonprofits — all working to help improve global security.
In its 15th year, the information security industry’s most prominent accolade, the annual SC Awards, showcase the best solutions, services and professionals while recognizing achievement and technical excellence. Winners from each category will be selected by the wide distribution of SC Magazine readers — security and technology experts from large, medium and small enterprises from all major vertical markets and announced at a gala dinner and award ceremony to be held in San Francisco on Tuesday, February 28, 2012.
“This year, we mixed things up a bit and added four new categories: Best Cloud Computing Security, Best Fraud Prevention Solution, Best NAC Product and Best Database Security — driving even more submissions than the previous year,” said Illena Armstrong, editor-in-chief, SC Magazine. “At the SC Awards gala, we’ll celebrate the brave men and women battling a new era of cyber crime, where stealthy and persistent threats are stealing the daily headlines. We look forward to hearing the stories of innovation and victory, as we encounter a new frontier of corporate security threats designed to steal the heart of an organization: data.”
